Core Services

Very few firms our size have the breadth and depth of experience we take for granted. In addition to all the services you expect from a CPA firm, our clients demand serious expertise in:

Management Advisory Services. We gauge our worth by the personal and business successes of our clients. We can help your business identify areas negatively affecting profitability and growth and develop solutions that are practical and technically sound. Even the most qualified managers can benefit from competent, objective feedback. We can help your company's management team develop long-term objectives and specific strategies to facilitate the future growth and success of your business.

Research & Development (R & D) Tax Credit. In December 2001, the Bush Administration issued regulations which apply retroactively to make it easier for a broader array of companies to qualify their activities as R & D and provide greater flexibility in recordkeeping requirements. If your company has invested any resources into the advancement or improvement of your company's products or output, then you will likely qualify for the R & D Tax Credit.

Business Valuations. Establishing the worth of your business is rarely a simple or easy process. A valuation confirms a company's worth by setting values for all tangible and intangible assets. You may need a valuation if you are selling your business, creating a buy/sell agreement, doing estate and gift tax planning, or making other life changes.

Qualified Plan Audits / 401(k). Audits of employee benefit plans involve more than a financial audit of plan assets. An audit will help protect the assets and the financial integrity of your employee benefit plan and ensure the necessary funds will be available to pay retirement, health, and other benefits to your employees.

Cost Segregation Studies. Based on recent court rulings, you may be able to increase cash flow realized from income tax savings through accelerated depreciation. If you own commercial property (office, retail, warehouse) or apartment buildings with a construction cost or purchase price of $1 million or more, you may be eligible. The property can be new construction, a remodel/rehabilitation performed after 1986, an existing facility purchased after 1986, or leasehold with significant improvements.

Sales and Use Tax. Many taxpayers overpay sales tax, especially manufacturers, since they have so many special rules and exemptions. Companies inadvertently overpay because of conservative vendor payment policies or outright oversight. An analysis of your sales tax may find significant overpayment and a refund.
